Exact Hosting Acceptable Usage Policy

Services provided by exact hosting may not, under any circumstances, be used for the following:

• Distribution of copyright material beyond the legal bounds of the copyright holders agreed terms, including:
• The installation, linkage, or reference to the use of torrent trackers for distribution
• The distribution of any copyright material, in whole or part.
• Association of website "Networks" that utilize any form of transport mechanism for the disallowed distribution of copyright material.
• The publication of material that violates local federal and government publications laws.
• Any components that interact with the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) protocol.
• The creation, or installation, of website "Proxy" devices, such as devices that allow the use of social networking sites in organizations that disallow it.
• Any website documents that embed material not permitted to be co-dis­­tributed, including but not limited to:
• The embedding of video players that deliver country-restricted on-line content
• The embedding of active-x components that are not licensed for co-distribution.
• Email systems for the use of unsolicited emails, including email spam.
• The distribution of online viruses, exploitations, or online threats.
• Any website that falsely represents any other legitimate organization or body
• Any website that promotes, or provides mechanisms for denial of service attacks, either from or towards the exact hosting network.
• Any form of hacking, which includes any attempts to circumvent or otherwise use a computer or network without expressed permission.
• Distributing any content (either directly or via linkage) which violates another's right to Intellectual property.
• Participating in, or distributing hate content, or a hate centralised system or webpage.
• Participating in the hosting or distribution of child pornorgaphy in any manner. Violations of this policy in any way will be immediately referred to federal police for investigation.
• Using the service to host large amounts of data not specifically linked to your host (i.e: file "storage").

Examples of unacceptable material include:

Internet Relay Chat systems / Bots / Reporting systems, Websites related to copyright violation, "warez" distribution or promotion websites, Torrent trackers of ANY kind, file dump websites, image dump websites, banner-ad services(any form of commercial banner-ad rotation webservice), affiliation specific services, "topsites", commercial streaming of audio, High-Yield Interest programs or related websites, Websites for investment, or websites which promote the sale, distribution or use of controlled substances without evidence of permission to do so - Lottery websites, hacking/cracking/serialz websites, hate focused websites, Scanner websites of any kind, brute force websites, Mail spammers, phishing web services, forums that distribute illegal content.

 

Using an account as a backup/storage device is not permitted. All files stored on the server must be for the exclusive use of the website associated with the hosting account

 

Fair use:

We provide customers with bandwidth, drive space and supplied services (such as database, email, subdomains, etc) as listed in our plan details. In some cases, these plans are defined as "unlimited" - that is, no "specific" limits are placed on the amount of drive space, bandwidth used, or amounts of emails/databases created. Regardless of the service(s) aquired, space allocated to your hosting account is used EXCLUSIVELY for normal purposes only, and any activity which is considered "Not Normal" that yields excessive usage is strictly prohibited.

 

Excessive usage for "unlimited" plans include:

• The use of the file space to store files that are not referenced by the public or registerable service.
• The use of the file space to store archival personal backups, not related to the service.
• The use of the webserver space to store files as interim storage, without adequate removal processes.

If you require these services, it is suggested you apply for a "Soft-Limit" of space for your account, to avoid excessive use situations.

 

Exact Hosting reserves the right to take corrective action (in the form of account closure, deletion, or suspension) against Users whose use of allocated disk space, bandwidth or other resources results in the degradation of our provided web services, and falls into the percieved category of unfair or inconsistant use, regardless of the definition of "unlimited", nor how much limitation the user has for disk or bandwidth in their nominated plan.

 

As a user of this service. you agree that your usage shall not exceed the quota(s) set by Exact Hosting (where applicable) for the provisioned services(the "Agreed Usage") and is additionally subject to defined normal usage guidelines detailed by Exact Hosing in this AUP. These quota(s), where applicable, are optimized and designed to provide a consistant, reliable service for our customers primary services (web sites / email).

Hosting space is intended for normal use only, and is limited to Web files, active e-mail and content of the hosted Web sites, not for external backup storage (whether of media, e-mails, or other data).

 

At all times you are responsible for the content which is stored on the services we provide, and you are responsible for the removal of any content which could potentially breach the terms of fair use.

 

Exact Hosting will monitor User's use of bandwidth, disk usage and other resources. Exact Hosting reserves the right to take any action necessary to correct the usage of the service if deemed in violation of the Fair use policy. Such corrective action may include the assessment of additional charges, or disconnection or discontinuance of any and all Services and of this Agreement, which actions may be taken in Exact Hosting's sole and absolute discretion.

 

Additionally, Exact Hosting reserves the right to temporarily throttle bandwidth, relocate services hosted to alternative platforms, relocate site backups to alternate services, or relocate entire services to upgraded systems for the purpose of further provisioning of "Unlimited" plans. Exact Hosting agrees to provide full details to the client in these events.
